LTS offices are situated in two of the world's tech hubs
LTS offices are in two of the world’s top tech hubs. That's according to the latest Savills Tech Cities 2017 report, in which both Cape Town and London were shortlisted as leading cities for the global technology sector. Cities were shortlisted based a few factors including its global standing, presence of start-ups, prevalence of global tech companies, city buzz and available tech talent pool.
The LTS mission is to help laboratories move the world forward – and innovation forms a fundamental part of this drive. And while this is prevalent in our full offering, the way we approach innovation in laboratory performance is perhaps most tangible in the technology that we research and develop. In just the past couple of years, we’ve engineered and designed two cutting edge products that help laboratories continuously improve the quality of their clinical outcomes while achieving financial sustainability.
Innovating towards certainty
PinpointBPS® has been labelled as ‘ground-breaking’ and enables laboratories to test and accurately quantify changes in their processes, technology and workforce – allowing labs to make big impact decisions. Combining a cloud-based performance dashboard with simple-yet-detailed process maps, PinpointBPS® brings performance understanding to every person in the laboratory. And with the cost of new analyzers and complexity involved with consolidation and automation, it is no wonder that PinpointBPS® is currently being used by laboratories in five continents.
Using big data analysis to ensure financial sustainability
LTS also developed Utilization Analytics, highlighting exactly where a laboratory is incurring hidden costs or losing out on revenue with no knowledge of it. This critical information allows laboratories to better manage their utilization and is provided in the form of insightful analytics. This is delivered via a cloud-based dashboard capable of visualizing billions of data records that span over many years.
Our technology offering stretches far beyond this
In a world where lab information systems are producing more data than ever, we can analyse and visualize billions of records of data within seconds. We have even introduced Virtual Reality Laboratory Design, allowing laboratory owners and managers to experience a new lab before it’s built, reducing the risk of a laboratory layout that does not perform to expectations. And we keep experimenting and putting bleeding edge technologies to work, such as machine learning to help laboratories perform at their peak.
Just as the Tech Cities Report highlights the important role that technology and innovation plays globally, we continue to witness the importance of innovation in laboratory performance.
And that's exactly what LTS is all about.
